18 hole Harry Colt Golf Course
CREWS HILL Golf Course is set in over 120 acres of rolling countryside in the north London “Green Belt”. Often referred to as ‘The Jewel’ of north London. It is one of the finest tests of golf in the county of Middlesex and measures 6281 from the white tees. Golf facilities include practice nets, large chipping and putting green, practice bunker and a 90 yard pitching area.
Undulating fairways means you’ll rarely find the same lie twice, they also encourage water to drain faster compared to similar courses. Some believe the undulations originated during the first world war to stop enemy planes from landing, however, a convincing argument is the location – surrounded by farmland and traditional ridge and furrow methods dating back centuries is more likely.
|In 1915 the course was confirmed as the venue and the services of Harry Colt* were employed. By 1916 golf was first enjoyed.|
